Malachite is the most distinctive green stone found due to its deep greens. The stone's name derives the Greek word molochitis lithos, "mallow-green stone" and resembles the leaves of the mallow plant. Large quantities of malachite have been mined in the Urals of Russia although it can also be found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Zambia, Namibia, Mexico, South Wales, France, Israel and Arizona.
Malachite amplifies energies of all kinds. It is a stone of balance, abundance, manifestation and intention.
